Walking Liberty Half Dollar
The beautiful Walking Liberty Half Dollar, minted from 1916-1947 is one link in a tradition that began in 1794.  Adolph A. Weinman designed this coin which features Miss Liberty walking toward the sun while pointing into the sky; in the crook of her arm is an oversize bundle of oak and laurel branches.  There are limited quantities from 1936-1942.

The Walker series contains a number of rare issues including pieces struck in 1919 and 1921 from the three different mints.  Throughout the series, many pre-1934 issues are rare and virtually unobtainable while the latter dates have all but disappeared.

Many collectors believe that the Weinman design is the most beautiful coin ever to leave the US Mint.
